With the Eventide UltraTap stompbox in your corner, you can come out swinging with complex, staccato rhythms, stick them through some tasteful modulation and coat them in some shimmering reverb. Trills, stutters, glitches and swells: every tool has been thrown in this box, and can be applied to basses, drum machines, synths and any other instrument you can plug into it as well as electric guitars. What you get in return is an extremely wide delay-based landscape to roam through, all of it moulded by Eventide-grade tech.

The Eventide UltraTap: Overstep the Bounds

Initially, you're set up with a pack of six control pots for dialling in the specifics, but each pot is able to set two different parameters, giving you a stack of twelve tweakable elements. So, while you can set the Predelay, the Tone, the Mix, the Feedback, the Length and the output level, you can also warp the Slurm, the Chop and Speed, the Rise and the Release. Basically, this is the deepest you're ever going to get to dig into the details of your custom delay sound. And once you've found your favourite configurations, they can be saved to one of five preset slots and call them up later, and to really sink your teeth into what this pedal can do, hook it up to your computer via USB and use the Eventide Device Manager to hammer out presets before saving them to a slot.
